摘要 (Abstract):
This talk is in two parts. The first part discusses 24-micron selected galaxies at z ~ 2, which are very bright in the rest-frame 8 micron PAH feature. These objects tend to be extremely luminous with luminosities in the ULIRG category. For this sample, we will discuss their relation to the star-forming main sequence, contribution to the total star-forming density at that redshift, and their 2-point correlation function.
The second part of the talk is a discussion of 16-micron selected galaxies at z ~ 1, which again keys on the rest-frame 8-micron PAH feature. These objects have luminosities in the LIRG class and have somewhat smaller masses than the z ~ 2 sample. The majority of these objects are normal PAH-dominated star-forming galaxies but a few have enhanced hot-dust continua associated with AGN activity. SED discriminants are in process to separate the various populations.
