摘要 (Abstract):
The weak cosmic censorship conjecture (WCCC) proposed by Penrose plays an essential role for the predictability of the general relativity. Although a rigorous proof is still absent, Wald's gedanken experiments of throwing matter into extremal and near-extremal black holes provide operational demonstration of the WCCC. Based on Sorce-Wald's formulation, we examine the WCCC in three-dimensional (torsional) gravity as well as in four-dimensional higher-derivative gravity. We find that in 3D Einstein gravity and chiral gravity, the WCCC is always holds; while the presence of torsion might cause a naked singularity. For the 4D Einstein-Maxwell theory with high-order corrections, however, the WCCC is always preserved for non-rotating extremal black holes.
主讲人简介 (Speaker's CV):
宁波,四川大学物理学院副教授。2003年毕业于中国科学技术大学天文与应用物理系,2009年于中国科学技术大学近代物理系获理论物理博士学位。此后于北京大学物理学院、台湾师范大学物理系从事博士后研究。2014年加入四川大学物理学院。主要研究方向为引力/规范对偶及黑洞物理。近年来的研究工作包括:计算了有挠率的引力理论中的守恒荷,建立了其与对偶场论中相对熵的对应关系;检验了修改引力中的弱宇宙监督假设,及其对引力的低能有效理论的限制。
