摘要 (Abstract):
Comparing with the conventional antenna, microwave electrometry with Rydberg atoms has a lot of advantages, such as self-calibration, sub-wavelength imaging and SI traceability to Plank’s constant. With hot atomic gas cell, traceable microwave electric field measurement is based on the approximation of the AT splitting width equaling to the Rabi frequency of the microwave field. In this report, I will present the recent experimental results of measuring the microwave electric field with cold atoms. With cold Rydberg atoms, the Rabi frequency can be obtained by fitting with an analytic expression of the four-level EIT susceptibility without further approximation; the minimum traceable electric field is about 28μv/cm (@36.9GHz), which is almost 100 times smaller than the one in vapor cell.

颜辉, 男, 凝聚态物理研究所,教授/博士生导师, 博士 主要从事冷原子与量子信息方向实验研究。目前已在国际重要学术期刊发表SCI论文40余篇,其中Nature Photonics 1篇, Nature Commun. 1篇,Phys. Rev. Lett. 4篇,Phys. Rev. A 15篇。目前承担包括国家重点研发计划等在内的项目10余项,负责经费1500余万元。国家自然科学基金优秀青年基金获得者;广东省特支计划科技创新青年拔尖人才;广东省自然科学基金杰出青年基金获得者;广东省高等学校优秀青年教师; 珠江科技新星;冷原子物理实验,量子模拟、量子信息、量子网络实验,量子光学实验,精密测量实验等原子分子光物理领域。
