摘要 (Abstract): 

       Microlensing has become a useful method to detect extrasolar planets, which is also one of the science drivers of the WFIRST mission. In this talk, I will first discuss the basic concepts of microlensing, and then review some of the recent progress on microlensing with space parallax and the current generation of ground-based surveys.

主讲人简介 (Speaker's CV): 

毛淑德，清华大学教授，天体物理中心主任。1988年毕业于中国科技大学，1992年获美国普林斯顿大学天体物理博士。1992-1999 年在美国哈佛-史密松天体物理中心和德国马普天体物理研究所做博士后。2000-2010年任教于英国曼彻斯特大学物理和天文系，2010年全时回国。主要研究兴趣为系外行星搜寻、引力透镜和星系动力学。
